Wedding Bingo Card Generator
Printable wedding guest bingo for the reception – or bridal shower gift bingo – with your names on top, a different card for every guest.
How to use the wedding bingo card generator
- Open the page. It starts in My words mode with the Wedding reception list loaded. For a bridal shower, choose the Bridal shower gifts preset list.
- Change the card title. It starts as WEDDING BINGO. You can type up to 40 characters, such as the couple’s names or the date.
- Choose a grid size: 3 × 3, 4 × 4 or 5 × 5. For 3 × 3 and 5 × 5 you can switch on a free space in the centre and change its text from FREE.
- Edit the word list. Put one item on each line, and add or delete items as you like. A 5 × 5 card with a free space needs 24 different items. If your list is too short, the tool tells you how many more you need.
- Set the number of cards, from 1 to 500. The default is 10.
- Use Previous and Next to look through the cards one at a time.
- Click Print cards to print the cards, or Print call list to print a shuffled calling order with tick boxes and the full list.
You can print 1, 2 or 4 cards per page, choose a colour from six options, and turn on a letters row or a card number. To save the cards as a PDF, choose Save as PDF as the printer and set the scale to 100%, not “fit to page”. New set makes fresh random cards with a new game code. Copy link saves your exact cards and word list so you can open them again later.
How does wedding bingo work at a reception?
At a reception, wedding bingo works without a caller. You place one card at each place setting, and guests mark off a square each time one of the listed moments happens during the evening. The first guest to fill a full line wins a small prize.
If you prefer a classic called game, for example at a rehearsal dinner, print the call list, read the items out in the shuffled order, and let guests mark what they hear. The call list also shows the full list in order, which helps you check a winning card. At a bridal shower, guests mark off the gifts the bride opens instead of reception moments.
What do you put on wedding bingo cards?
Put on moments that are likely to happen at the reception but cannot be predicted exactly, such as the first dance, the cake cutting, a speech that runs long or someone crying. Guests enjoy spotting the moments, and a mix of big and small events keeps the game moving. Avoid items that happen all the time, like “people talking”, because most cards would fill too quickly.
Each item can have two parts. Write “card text | call text” to print a short label on the card and read out a fuller phrase from the call list. For example, “Cake | The couple cut the cake” puts a short word on the card and a clear phrase on the call list.
The number of items matters too. The Wedding reception list has 48 moments. With a 5 × 5 card and a free space, that gives 32,247,603,683,100 different sets of 24 squares, so you can make a different card for every guest without running out. Add a few items about the couple, such as their first meeting or their pet’s name, to make the cards feel personal.
Frequently asked questions
