Virtual Bingo (Host and Play Online)
Host a bingo game on a video call: share one link, every player gets their own card, you call the numbers.
How to run a virtual bingo game
- Choose the cards. Pick Numbers 1–75 for classic bingo cards, or My own words and a list such as Office, Christmas, or your own words.
- Set the card grid and whether there is a free space.
- Choose the winning pattern that players must complete.
- Note the game code and player link shown on the page.
- Click Copy player link and paste it into the video call chat.
- Share your screen or read the calls aloud. Use call next to call a number or word, or auto-call to let the caller run on its own. Read aloud speaks each call, and the master board shows every call made so far.
- Players open the link, receive a card, and tap each square when it is called. Tapping again removes the mark.
- When a player wins, they press Bingo!, call it out, and give you their card code. Enter that code under Check a card to compare it with the real calls.
- To start a new round with new cards, click New game code. Players then need the new link.
Players can click Get a different card to pick another card number. Marks are saved on the device, so a reload keeps them, and Clear my marks asks first before it removes them. If you use a long word list, the link gets long too, but most chats accept it.
How to play zoom bingo
To play Zoom bingo, the host shares their screen or reads the calls aloud during the video call, and every player opens the player link on their own phone or computer. The host calls numbers or words one at a time, and players tap the matching squares on their cards.
The host starts by copying the player link from this page and pasting it into the call chat. Players open it and get a card. Because each card is built from the game code and a card number, every player sees a different card without anyone having to send one out. The host calls the next item with call next or auto-call, and every call appears on the master board. When a player completes the winning pattern, they press Bingo! and read out their card code, so the host can confirm it.
What are the virtual bingo rules?
Virtual bingo follows the same rules as paper bingo. Each player has a card with a grid of squares, and the host sets whether the centre square is free. The host calls numbers or words in random order, and players mark any square on their card that matches a call. The first player to complete the winning pattern wins the round.
The winning pattern is the shape that counts, such as a line, four corners or a full card. Players can see the pattern on their screen. When a player presses Bingo!, the page checks their marks against the pattern and tells them to call it out and give the host their card code. The host then checks that code against the real calls. This last step is what keeps the game fair, because a player cannot win with marks on squares that were never called.
Agree on the prize before the first call.
Frequently asked questions
How do I play virtual bingo with coworkers?
Choose My own words and the Office list, which has 48 meeting phrases such as “Someone is on mute”, “Can you hear me?”, and “Let’s take this offline”. Copy the player link into your meeting chat, then call the phrases during a break or at the end of a call. Coworkers mark each phrase when it comes up and press Bingo! when they complete the pattern.
How do I create a digital bingo?
Open this page and choose the cards, grid, and winning pattern. Click Copy player link and send it to your players. Each player’s card is made from the game code, so you do not need to print or hand out cards. You can call the numbers or words yourself or use the caller.
Is there a free bingo generator?
Yes. This page is a free bingo card generator and game host, and it runs in your web browser with no sign-up and no download. You can make classic number cards or word cards from your own list.
Do players need an account or app?
No. Players only need to open the player link on a phone or computer. There is no account and no app to install. The host also needs no account to run the game.
Can a player get a different card?
Yes. Players can click Get a different card to pick another card number from 1 to 500. Their marks are saved on their device, so a reload keeps them.
Where does the game data go?
Nothing goes through a server. The link carries the game settings, and for word cards it also carries the word list. Each phone or computer builds the same card from the game code.
