Thanksgiving Bingo Card Generator

Printable Thanksgiving bingo with words or pictures for the whole family – every card different, plus a call list.

Thanksgiving bingo is a game where each player gets a card of Thanksgiving words, pictures or numbers, and marks off squares as a caller reads out items. The first player to complete a line wins. This page has a free bingo card generator that makes printable Thanksgiving bingo cards in your web browser. There is no sign-up, and nothing is uploaded, because the cards are made on your own device.

You can start from the preset Thanksgiving words or Thanksgiving pictures lists, or type your own list. Choose a grid size, decide how many cards you need, and print them. You can also run the game with the online caller. The generator handles the layout, so you can focus on the game.

How to use the Bingo Card Generator

  1. Keep the card content on My words and click Thanksgiving words or Thanksgiving pictures to fill the list, or type your own. (Numbers 1–75, Numbers 1–90 and Blank are there too.)
  2. Pick a grid size: 3 × 3, 4 × 4 or 5 × 5.
  3. Switch the free space on or off. It is available on 3 × 3 and 5 × 5 grids. Change its text if you want, or keep the default FREE.
  4. If you use a word list, enter one item per line. Check the count: 24 items for a 5 × 5 card with a free space, 16 for 4 × 4, and 8 for 3 × 3 with a free space (9 without). If the list is short, the tool tells you how many more you need.
  5. Set the number of cards, from 1 to 500 (the default is 10).
  6. Add a card title (it starts as THANKSGIVING BINGO), then choose the letters row, card numbers and colour.
  7. Check the preview with the Previous and Next buttons.
  8. Click Print cards. Click Print call list to get a shuffled calling order with tick boxes, plus the full list in order for checking a winner.

New set creates new random cards with a new game code. Copy link opens exactly the same cards again, including your word list. To save a PDF, choose “Save as PDF” in the print dialog and set the scale to 100%, not “fit to page”, so the cards print at full size.

What is Thanksgiving bingo?

Thanksgiving bingo is regular bingo with a Thanksgiving theme. The squares show items such as turkey, pumpkin pie, the Mayflower or the Pilgrims, instead of plain numbers. The rules stay the same: a caller reads out items, and players mark any matching square on their card.

Many people play it on Thanksgiving Day. In the United States, Thanksgiving falls on the fourth Thursday of November. In Canada, it falls on the second Monday of October.

How do you play Thanksgiving bingo?

Thanksgiving bingo is played in a few simple steps. Each player gets a card, and one person acts as the caller.

  1. Give every player a card. Each card has a different set of squares, so no two players have the same layout.
  2. The caller reads out items from the call list, which is shuffled so the order is random.
  3. Each player marks any square that matches the item called. Free squares are already marked.
  4. The first player to mark a full line of squares across, down or diagonally calls “Bingo.”
  5. The caller checks the winning card against the full list in order to confirm each item was called.

If you want clues instead of plain words, use the “card text | call text” format. For example, “Pilgrims | Who arrived on the Mayflower” prints “Pilgrims” on the card and reads the clue aloud. Players then have to match the clue to the word on their card.

Picture cards let young children play alongside adults at the same table, and a second round for a full card keeps the game going while the pie is served.

If you prefer, use a 3 × 3 grid with a free space for small children: it needs only 8 items and a game takes a few minutes.

Write the clue version on the call list and keep the plain words on the cards so everyone can play.
