St Patricks Day Bingo Card Generator

Printable St. Patrick's Day bingo for class or a party: 38 words or 30 picture squares, every card different, plus a call list.

St. Patrick’s Day bingo is a game played with printable cards that have Irish-themed words or pictures in the squares, such as shamrock, rainbow and leprechaun. This page has a free bingo card generator that makes these cards in your web browser, with no sign-up required. Nothing is uploaded, so the cards are made on your own device.

The page opens with a St. Patrick’s Day word list already loaded, so you can print cards straight away. You can change the words, grid size, number of cards and colours before printing. Teachers, parents and group leaders can use the same cards for a classroom party, a family game or a community event.

How to make St. Patrick’s Day bingo cards

  1. Open the page. It starts in “My words” mode with the St. Patrick’s Day list loaded. For picture squares, load the St. Patrick’s Day pictures list instead.
  2. Choose a grid size: 3 × 3, 4 × 4 or 5 × 5.
  3. Switch the free space on or off. It is available for 3 × 3 and 5 × 5 grids only. You can change its text from the default FREE.
  4. Check the word list. It needs one item per line. You can edit, add or delete items. The tool tells you how many more items it needs if the list is too short for your grid.
  5. Set the number of cards, from 1 to 500. The default is 10.
  6. Choose print options: 1, 2 or 4 cards per page, US Letter or A4 paper, a card title, an optional letters row, an optional card number and a colour.
  7. Use the Previous and Next buttons to check each card in the preview.
  8. Click Print cards. Then click Print call list to get a shuffled calling order with tick boxes, plus the full list for checking a winner.

To make a new set of random cards with a new game code, click New set. To share the exact same cards, click Copy link, which keeps your word list. To call the game on screen, click Use with the online caller.

To save the cards as a PDF, choose “Save as PDF” as the printer in the print dialog and set the scale to 100%, not “fit to page”.

When is St. Patrick’s Day?

St. Patrick’s Day is on March 17 every year. It honours Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, and is celebrated with parades and by wearing green.

How to play St. Patrick’s Day bingo in class

Print one card per student; every card in a set is different, so each student has their own squares. Call the squares from the shuffled call list, and let players cover them with gold-coin chocolates or stickers. The full list lets you check a winner’s card against the words called.

Are there picture cards for preschool?

Yes. The St. Patrick’s Day pictures list uses emoji with a word beside each one, such as a shamrock, a rainbow and a top hat. For a 3 × 3 card, you need only 8 different pictures plus the free space. Young players can match the picture to the one called.

What words go on a St. Patrick’s Day bingo card?

The St. Patrick’s Day list has 38 words, including Shamrock, Four-leaf clover, Leprechaun, Pot of gold, Rainbow, Wear green, Parade, Celtic knot, Harp, Irish dance, Soda bread, Blarney Stone and March 17. Shamrock and four-leaf clover are separate squares, because a four-leaf clover is the rare “lucky” kind. To show one thing on the card and say another when calling, write “card text | call text” on one line.

How do you win St. Patrick’s Day bingo?

The usual win is one full line across, down or diagonally. For a longer game, play for four corners or a blackout, where every square must be covered. With 38 words on a 5 × 5 card there are 9,669,554,100 different sets of 24 squares, so every student in a class can have a different card. Use a 3 × 3 or 4 × 4 grid for a quick round with young children. Small chocolate coins make good markers.

Frequently asked questions

Is this St. Patrick’s Day bingo card generator free?

Yes. It is free and needs no sign-up. The cards are made on your own device, and nothing is uploaded.

Will every card in a set be different?

Yes. No two cards in a set have the same squares. If your list is too short to make the number of cards you asked for, the tool tells you how many different cards are possible.

Can I use my own words instead of the St. Patrick’s Day list?

Yes. Edit the word list box, one item per line. You can add or delete items at any time.

How do I get the same cards again later?

Click Copy link. The link opens exactly the same cards again, including your word list. The same game code and settings always produce the same cards.

Can I print St. Patrick’s Day bingo cards in black and white?

Yes. Choose the black and white colour in the print options. The page starts with green, but any of the six colours can be used, and the card text always prints in a clear, readable size.

How do I save the cards as a PDF?

Choose Save as PDF as the printer in the print dialog, and set the scale to 100% rather than fit to page so the cards print at full size.
