Kindness Bingo Card Generator

Printable kindness bingo challenge cards – kind acts for kids or adults, a different card for each person.

Kindness bingo cards are a free, printable way to turn kind acts into a challenge. This bingo card generator makes them right in your web browser, with no sign-up, and nothing is uploaded: the cards are made on your device. The page opens with a Kindness (kids) list of 36 acts already loaded, so you can print a set straight away. You can switch to a Kindness (adults) list of 30 acts, or write your own list. Every card in a set is different, so each person gets a different mix of acts to do. Use it for a random acts of kindness bingo in a classroom, a family, or an office. Each set gets a game code, and the Copy link button reopens the exact same cards and word list later.

How to use the kindness bingo card generator

The page opens in My words mode with the Kindness (kids) list loaded. To make your cards:

  1. Check the word list box. It holds one act per line. Edit, add or delete lines as you like.
  2. Keep the card content set to My words. The other choices are Numbers 1–75, Numbers 1–90 and Blank.
  3. Pick a grid size: 3 × 3, 4 × 4 or 5 × 5.
  4. For a 3 × 3 or 5 × 5 grid, switch on the free space to add a centre square. Change its text from FREE if you want. A 4 × 4 grid has no free space.
  5. Set the number of cards, from 1 to 500 per set. The default is 10.
  6. Choose your print options: 1, 2 or 4 cards per page, US Letter or A4 paper, a card title (it starts as KINDNESS BINGO), an optional letters row, an optional card number, and one of six colours.
  7. Look through the preview one card at a time with the Previous and Next buttons.
  8. Click Print cards. Click Print call list to get a checklist with tick boxes, plus the full list in order.
  9. Click New set for new random cards with a new game code. Click Copy link to save your exact setup.

To save the cards as a PDF, choose Save as PDF as the printer in the print dialog. Set the scale to 100%, not fit to page, so the cards print at full size. You don’t need the Use with the online caller button for kindness bingo, because no caller is needed.

How to play kindness bingo

Kindness bingo is a challenge card, not a called game. Each person gets a card of kind acts, does them over a set time, and marks each square when it is done. Common lengths are a week or a month; many schools run the challenge in a kindness week or in the days around World Kindness Day on November 13.

A line of marked squares completes the challenge. Some groups play for a full blackout, where the whole card is marked. No caller is needed. The call list can serve as a checklist for the teacher or group leader.

Many teachers add their own rules:

  • Write the date or the name of the person you helped in the square.
  • Mark only one act per square per day.
  • Share one act at circle time.

At work or in a club, the same card works as a team challenge: put the cards up on a board and celebrate each completed line.

What goes on a kindness bingo card

Each square holds one kind act, written in plain words such as Hold the door for someone, Give a compliment, or Pick up litter. The Kindness (kids) preset has 36 acts, including Sit with someone new at lunch, Write a thank-you note, and Read to a younger child. The Kindness (adults) preset has 30 acts, including Check on a neighbor and Volunteer an hour.

The number of acts you need depends on the grid. A 5 × 5 card with a free space needs 24 different items (25 without a free space). A 4 × 4 card needs 16. A 3 × 3 card with a free space needs 8 (9 without). If your list is too short, the tool tells you how many more items you need.

Because every card in a set is different, each person gets a different mix. With 36 kids’ acts and a 5 × 5 card with a free space, there are 1,251,677,700 different sets of 24 squares. A 3 × 3 card with 8 acts and a free space suits young children or a one-week challenge.

Frequently asked questions

How do I play kindness bingo?

Give each person a card and ask them to do the acts on it over a set time, such as a week or a month. They mark each square when they finish it. A completed line, or a full card, completes the challenge.

What are the kindness bingo rules?

There is no official rulebook. The usual win condition is a completed line, or a blackout where the whole card is marked. Many teachers also ask people to note the date or who they helped, to mark one act per square per day, and to share one act at circle time.

What goes on a kindness bingo card?

Each square holds one kind act. The Kindness (kids) preset has 36 acts, and the Kindness (adults) preset has 30. You can also type your own acts, one per line.

How many kindness bingo cards do I need for a class?

Set the number of cards to match your class, up to 500 per set. Every card in a set is different, so each student gets a different mix of acts. If your list is too short to make that many different cards, the tool tells you how many different cards are possible.

Is kindness bingo for adults too?

Yes. Choose the Kindness (adults) preset, which includes acts such as Pay for someone’s coffee, Donate to a food bank, and Thank a delivery driver. A 5 × 5 grid works well for a month-long challenge at work or in a community group.

What is a kindness challenge?

A kindness challenge is a set of kind acts that a person completes over a period of time. A kindness bingo card is one way to run it, because each square is one act and the card shows progress at a glance.
