Halloween Bingo Card Generator

Printable Halloween bingo with spooky words or pictures – every card different, plus a call list for the caller.

Halloween bingo is a party game in which each player has a card of Halloween words or pictures and marks off each item as the caller reads it out. This free Bingo Card Generator makes printable Halloween bingo cards in your web browser. There is no sign-up, and nothing is uploaded, because the cards are made on your device.

The page comes with two ready-made lists, Halloween words and Halloween pictures, and the card title starts as HALLOWEEN BINGO. You choose the grid size, the number of cards and the print layout, then print the cards or a call list for the person reading out the items. The same tool works for a school party, a family evening or a spooky night with friends.

How to use the Bingo Card Generator

  1. Choose your content. Select My words to type your own list, one item per line, or load the Halloween words or Halloween pictures preset. To give a picture with a word, write it as ‘card text | call text’, for example ‘🎃 Pumpkin | Pumpkin’.
  2. Pick the grid size. Choose 3 × 3, 4 × 4 or 5 × 5.
  3. Set the free space. For 3 × 3 and 5 × 5 grids you can switch on a free space in the centre square and change its text (the default is FREE). A 4 × 4 grid has no free space.
  4. Check the item count. A 5 × 5 card with a free space needs 24 different items, a 4 × 4 card needs 16, and a 3 × 3 card with a free space needs 8. If your list is short, the tool tells you how many more you need.
  5. Set the number of cards. Enter a number from 1 to 500 (the default is 10).
  6. Choose the print options. Pick 1, 2 or 4 cards per page, US Letter or A4 paper, a card title, an optional letters row, an optional card number and one of six colours.
  7. Check the preview. Use Previous and Next to look at each card.
  8. Print. Click Print cards for the cards, or Print call list for a shuffled calling order with tick boxes, plus the full list to check a winner.

New set creates new random cards with a new game code. Copy link saves the exact cards, including your word list, so you can share them. Use with the online caller opens the bingo caller page with the same game.

What is halloween bingo?

Halloween bingo is a version of bingo where every card is filled with Halloween items, such as pumpkins, ghosts or witches. Players use the same game rules as regular bingo, but the squares show spooky words or pictures. It is popular at parties, in classrooms and at family get-togethers around October 31.

The game needs three things: cards, a caller and a call list. Each card has a grid of squares with different items in them. The caller draws items from the list in random order and reads them out, and players cover any matching square on their card.

How to play halloween bingo?

Give each player a card and something to mark squares with, such as a pen, a counter or a piece of candy. The caller reads out items one at a time, and each player marks the matching square if it is on their card. The caller should not repeat an item once it has been called.

The first player to mark a full line, meaning a complete row, column or diagonal, calls out “Bingo!” The caller then checks the called items against the full list to confirm the win. If the card has a free space, that square counts as already marked. Agree on the winning pattern before you start, for example a single line or a full card, so everyone knows when the game ends.

For a longer party, play several rounds with different winning shapes, such as one line, then four corners, then a full card, and keep a printed call list so you can check every winner quickly.

Picture cards also work well for mixed groups, because younger children can match the emoji while older players use the word cards in the same game.

Turn on the card number when you print many cards, so you can tell the cards apart when you check a winner.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make halloween bingo cards?

Enter your items under My words, or load the Halloween words or Halloween pictures preset. Choose a grid size, check that you have enough items, and set the number of cards. Then click Print cards.

Can I print halloween bingo on A4?

Yes. Choose A4 in the paper option before you print. For a PDF, choose ‘Save as PDF’ as the printer and set the scale to 100% so the cards print at full size.

Is halloween bingo for kids?

Yes. The Halloween pictures preset pairs emoji with a word, such as 🎃 Pumpkin and 👻 Ghost, which suits preschool and kindergarten parties. Use picture cards with younger children who are still learning to read.

Is halloween bingo for adults?

Yes. Type your own list into the My words box, using items such as costume ideas or horror film titles. Candy also makes good markers for an adult game.

Are all the cards in a set different?

Yes. No two cards in a set have the same squares. If your list is too short for the number of cards you ask for, the tool says how many different cards are possible. With exactly 24 items on a 5 × 5 card with a free space, only one different card is possible.

Can I get the same cards again later?

Yes. Copy link opens exactly the same cards, including your word list. The same game code and settings always produce the same cards.
