How to use the New Year’s Bingo card generator

  1. Check the card content. The page opens in My words mode with the New Year’s Eve list loaded. To use numbers or empty squares instead, choose Numbers 1–75, Numbers 1–90 or Blank.
  2. Pick a grid size: 3 × 3, 4 × 4 or 5 × 5.
  3. For a 3 × 3 or 5 × 5 grid, switch the free space on or off. You can change its text; the default is FREE. A 4 × 4 grid has no free space.
  4. Edit the word list: one item per line. If the list is too short for your grid, the tool tells you how many more items you need.
  5. Set the number of cards, from 1 to 500. The default is 10.
  6. Choose your print options: 1, 2 or 4 cards per page, US Letter or A4 paper, a card title (you can change NEW YEAR’S BINGO to 2026 BINGO), an optional letters row, an optional card number, and one of six colours.
  7. Use Previous and Next to check each card in the preview.
  8. Click Print cards for the cards, or Print call list for a shuffled calling order with tick boxes, plus the full list in order to check a winner.

How to play new years bingo

New years bingo is a calling game. The host reads items from the call list in random order, and each player marks any matching square on their own card. The first player to complete a line wins.

Print the call list first. Its shuffled calling order lets the host read items without repeating or skipping any. Keep the full list, which is in order, nearby so you can check a winner’s card against it. Each card in a set is different, so the game stays fair even with a large group.

Keep the rules simple. Decide whether a line means across, down or diagonal, and whether a full card counts as a blackout. Choose a grid size that matches how long you want to play: a 3 × 3 card finishes quickly, while a 5 × 5 card takes longer. The game suits a countdown party with family, kids or adults, and it can run until midnight.

What is a 2026 bingo card?

A 2026 bingo card is a personal goals card with 25 goals for the year. You cross off a square when you complete that goal, and you try to get a line, or a full blackout, by December 31.

To make one, choose the Goals for the year list or type your own goals. Set the number of cards to 1 and print it. The list includes 40 goals, such as Read 12 books, Try a new recipe, Run a 5K and Visit a museum. With the free space turned on, the card needs 24 goals. If you turn the free space off, you need 25.

Keep the card somewhere you will see it, and cross off each goal as you finish it. For a family or a team, set the number of cards to the number of people: everyone gets a different mix of goals from the same list, and you can compare cards at the end of the year.

Can kids play new years bingo?

Yes. The game works for children and adults alike. For younger players, use the New Year pictures list, which pairs emoji with words such as 🎆 Fireworks and 🥳 Party face. Choose a 3 × 3 or 4 × 4 grid to keep games short.

How many cards can I print?

You can make from 1 to 500 cards per set, and the default is 10. Every card in a set is different. If your word list is too short to make that many different cards, the tool tells you how many different cards are possible. Click New set for a fresh group of cards.

Can I make the cards on A4 paper?

Yes. In the print options, choose A4 instead of US Letter. You can also fit 1, 2 or 4 cards on each page.

How do I save the cards as a PDF?

Click Print cards, then choose Save as PDF as the printer in the print dialog. Set the scale to 100%, not “fit to page”, so the cards print at full size.

How many items does each card need?

A 5 × 5 card needs 24 different items with the free space on, or 25 without it. A 4 × 4 card needs 16. A 3 × 3 card needs 8 with the free space on, or 9 without it.

Is my word list uploaded anywhere?
