Printable Christmas bingo with words, pictures or movie titles – every card different, plus a call list for the caller.
How to use the Christmas bingo card generator
- Choose the card content: Numbers 1–75, Numbers 1–90, My words, or Blank. For Christmas words, pictures or movies, pick My words.
- Paste or type your list in the word list box, one item per line. Use one of the preset lists on this page if you want a ready-made start.
- Choose the grid size: 3 × 3, 4 × 4 or 5 × 5.
- For a 3 × 3 or 5 × 5 grid, switch the free space on or off. You can change its text from the default FREE.
- Check the item count. If the list is too short, the tool says how many more items you need.
- Set the number of cards, from 1 to 500 per set (default 10).
- Set the print options: cards per page, paper size, card title, letters row, card number and colour.
- Use Previous and Next to check each card in the preview.
- Click Print cards to print the cards, or Print call list for the calling order and the full list.
Click New set for new random cards with a new game code. Click Copy link to save the exact cards and your word list. To save a PDF, choose “Save as PDF” in the print dialog and set the scale to 100%, not “fit to page”.
How do you play Christmas bingo?
Each player gets a card with items in a grid, and one person acts as the caller. The caller picks items at random and calls them out, and each player marks any matching square on their card. The first player to mark a complete line, across, down or diagonally, calls out “Bingo!” The caller then checks that player’s marked squares against the called items.
A free space in the centre counts as already marked, so players need one fewer call to complete a line. The call list makes checking easier: its shuffled order with tick boxes shows what has been called, and the full list in order lets the caller confirm a winner quickly.
What words can I use for Christmas bingo?
Use any words that players will recognise when they hear them. Short items of one to three words work best, and each item should be clearly different from the others. The Christmas words preset includes 52 items such as Santa Claus, Reindeer, Snowman, Candy cane, Mistletoe, Nutcracker and Gingerbread man.
If you write your own list, check that you have enough items for the grid. A 5 × 5 card with a free space needs 24 different items. To show a different spoken word from the printed one, write the line as “card text | call text”. For example, “Paris | France” prints Paris on the card and puts France on the call list. Emoji also work as pictures.
What are some good bingo games for Christmas parties?
Three simple variations make one game last longer. Play for one line first, then for four corners, then for a full card, called a blackout. Each stage gives players a new goal, so the party keeps moving.
Small prizes such as candy canes suit this kind of game well. For older guests, the Christmas movies list works well: players mark a film when its title is called. The list has 32 titles, more than the 24 a 5 × 5 card with a free space needs, so every card can be different.
How to make christmas bingo
Start by counting your players, since each player needs their own card. Set the number of cards to match, up to 500 per set. Then decide what the players will see: words, pictures, movie titles or numbers. Adding a free space makes games shorter, which suits younger players.
Next, write your list in the word list box and make sure it has enough items for the grid you chose. Keep the wording clear and spell items the way the caller will say them. Once the preview looks right, print the cards and the call list, then keep the list of called items somewhere the caller can see.
Christmas bingo for kids
Picture cards suit young children who cannot read yet. The Christmas pictures preset has 36 emoji, each with a word, such as 🎄 Tree, 🎅 Santa, ⛄ Snowman and 🎁 Present. The caller shows or names each picture as it is called, so children can match the symbol without reading.
For the youngest players, a 3 × 3 grid with a free space is the easiest size. It needs only 8 items. Older children can use a 5 × 5 grid with the words preset, which gives them more squares to track.
Frequently asked questions
Is this Christmas bingo generator free to use?
Yes. The tool is free, and you do not need to sign up to make and print cards.
Is my word list uploaded anywhere?
No. Nothing is uploaded, and the cards are made on your own device.
How many different cards can I make?
You can make 1 to 500 cards per set. Every card in a set is different. With the 52 Christmas words on a 5 × 5 card, there are over 400 trillion different cards, so a whole school can play without two identical cards.
Why does the tool say I need more items?
Your list is shorter than the grid needs. A 5 × 5 card with a free space needs 24 items, a 4 × 4 card needs 16, and a 3 × 3 card with a free space needs 8. Add items until the tool accepts the list.
Can I save my Christmas bingo cards and use them again?
Yes. Click Copy link to save the link. Opening it shows exactly the same cards again, including your word list.
Can I use this for xmas bingo with a group?
Yes. Print the cards and the call list, or click Use with the online caller to run the same game on the bingo caller page.
How do I save the cards as a PDF?
Choose “Save as PDF” as the printer in the print dialog, then set the scale to 100%. Using “fit to page” can shrink the cards.
