Birthday Bingo Card Generator
Printable birthday party bingo with party words or pictures – add the birthday person's name, every card different.
This free birthday bingo card generator runs in your web browser, so you can make birthday bingo cards without signing up. Nothing is uploaded: the cards are made on your device, and you can print them as free printable birthday bingo cards straight from the page.
The page starts with the Birthday party list of 48 items, such as Birthday cake, Candles, Make a wish and Piñata. You can edit that list or write your own. Each card in a set is different, so every guest gets a unique grid. Set the number of cards, the grid size and a title such as MIA TURNS 7, then print. The same tool makes birthday bingo for kids and birthday bingo for adults, depending on the list you use.
How to use the birthday bingo card generator
- Open the page. It starts in My words mode with the Birthday party list already loaded.
- For young children, choose the Birthday pictures preset, which uses emoji with a word. Otherwise keep Birthday party.
- Edit the word list box. Put one item on each line, and add or delete items as you like.
- Choose a grid size: 3 × 3, 4 × 4 or 5 × 5. On 3 × 3 and 5 × 5 grids you can switch on a free space in the centre and change its text (it starts as FREE). A 4 × 4 grid has no free space.
- Set the number of cards, from 1 to 500. The default is 10.
- Change the card title (up to 40 characters). Then pick print options: 1, 2 or 4 cards per page, US Letter or A4 paper, an optional letters row, an optional card number and one of six colours.
- Use Previous and Next to look through the cards one at a time.
- Click Print cards for the cards, or Print call list for a shuffled calling order with tick boxes, plus the full list in order to check a winner.
New set creates new random cards with a new game code. Copy link saves your exact cards, including your word list, so the same link opens them again. Use with the online caller opens the bingo caller page with the same game and list.
How to play birthday bingo at a party
Birthday bingo works in two ways: a called game, where the host reads out items and the first line wins a small prize, or spot-it bingo, where guests mark squares as things happen during the party. Both use the same cards, so you only need to make them once.
For a called game, click Print call list. It gives a shuffled calling order with tick boxes, so the host reads one item at a time and everyone ticks off matches on their card. A line is a row, column or diagonal of marked squares. The first player to complete one calls out “Bingo!” The full list in order lets you check the winner’s card against what was called.
For spot-it bingo, nothing is called. Guests mark squares when moments happen, such as when the candles are blown out or someone sings off-key. Choose items that will really happen at your party, such as the Happy Birthday song or opening presents, and print one card per guest so nobody has to share.
Birthday bingo for kids or adults
Cards for children work best with the Birthday pictures preset: 36 emoji with a word, such as 🎂 Cake, 🎈 Balloon, 🎁 Gift, 🥳 Party face and 🦄 Unicorn. Young guests can match the pictures, and the words help adults read the call list too.
For adults, personalise the list. Add items about the birthday person, such as a favourite food, a pet’s name or a hobby. For a memory version, type facts about the guest of honour’s life as answer | question lines, for example 1998 | The year Sam was born or Paris | Where Sam got engaged. The card shows the answer, the call list holds the question, so the host reads the question and players look for the answer on their card.
Frequently asked questions
Can I put the birthday person’s name on the cards?
Yes. Type a title such as MIA TURNS 7 in the card title box, which takes up to 40 characters. You can also add the birthday person’s name or details to the word list, such as a pet’s name or favourite food.
What prizes work for bingo?
Small prizes suit a called game best, such as small toys, candy, stickers or the first slice of cake. Give one prize for the first line so the game moves quickly.
Can I print the cards for free?
Yes. The tool is free and needs no sign-up, and the cards are made on your device. Click Print cards to print them from your browser.
How many items do I need for each card?
It depends on the grid. A 5 × 5 card with a free space needs 24 different items, a 4 × 4 card needs 16, and a 3 × 3 card with a free space needs 8. If your list is too short, the tool tells you how many more you need.
Will every card be different?
Yes. No two cards in a set have the same squares. If your list is too short for the number of cards you asked for, the tool tells you how many different cards are possible. With 48 party items and a 5 × 5 card with a free space, there are 32,247,603,683,100 different sets of 24 squares.
Can I save the cards as a PDF?
Yes. Choose “Save as PDF” as the printer in the print dialog, and set the scale to 100% instead of “fit to page” so the cards print at full size.
