Bingo Card Template
Type straight into the squares, set the title and free space, then print one card or 100 copies – or a blank template to fill in by hand.
How to use the bingo card template
- Choose the grid size in the settings: 3 × 3, 4 × 4 or 5 × 5. The default is 5 × 5.
- Change the title. The default is BINGO, and it can be up to 40 characters. You can also edit it directly on the card.
- Tap a square and type. Each square holds up to 60 characters, and the text shrinks to fit.
- Press Enter or the arrow keys to move to the next square, and Shift+Enter to go back. Tab and Shift+Tab also work.
- To fill many squares at once, open the fold-out list. Paste one item per line, or load a ready-made list such as Office, Christmas, Halloween, Classroom or Baby shower. Select Fill squares. The tool reports how many squares were filled and how many items did not fit.
- Select Shuffle squares to rearrange the current texts. The free space stays in the centre.
- Under printing, set Copies to print (1–100). Choose Print, or choose Print blank template to print the same layout with empty squares.
Undo restores the squares to how they were before the last fill, shuffle or clear. To save as a PDF, choose Save as PDF as the printer and set the scale to 100%. Copy link gives you an address that opens this card with the squares filled in.
What is the standard bingo card format?
The standard bingo card format is a 5 × 5 grid with the letters B, I, N, G and O across the top and a free space in the centre. The classic American 75-ball card follows this layout. Column B holds numbers 1–15, I holds 16–30, N holds 31–45, G holds 46–60 and O holds 61–75.
Word bingo cards use the same 5 × 5 grid, with words in the squares instead of numbers. 3 × 3 and 4 × 4 grids are common for young children. This template’s default matches the 5 × 5 format, with the header row and a FREE centre square switched on. A 4 × 4 grid has no centre square.
How to create a bingo card template
A bingo card template comes down to three choices: the grid size, what goes in each square, and how the card is printed. Start by picking the grid and the title. Then fill the squares by typing them one by one or by using a list.
Keep each entry short and clear, so players can read it at a glance on a small printed square. If you plan to make many cards from the same words, make sure you have enough. A 5 × 5 card with a free space needs at least 24 words in the bingo card generator. Before you print a full set, print one copy to check the layout.
Is there a blank bingo card template to write on?
Yes. Select Clear all and confirm. Every square will empty, which gives you a blank template to write on by hand. You can also select Print blank template to print the same layout, with the title, header letters and free space, but with empty squares.
The blank bingo cards page prints sets of empty cards. This template lets you type the content of one card on screen first, then print the blank version when you are ready.
How to make a 2026 bingo card template
A yearly goals card works well as a 2026 bingo card. Type 24 goals into a 5 × 5 template, leaving the free space in the centre. Change the title to 2026 BINGO, then print one card. During the year, cross off each goal as you complete it. Short goals fit best, since each square holds up to 60 characters.
Can I edit the template in Word or Google Docs?
No. The template is not a Word or Google Docs file. If you searched for a bingo board template in Word, edit this one here instead. Type into the squares, title and header letters on the page, then print it or save it as a PDF. Saving as a PDF keeps the layout as you see it, as long as the scale is set to 100%.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make several copies with the squares in a different order?
Set Copies to print to the number you need, from 1 to 100. Then choose Different order on each copy. Every copy has the same squares in a different order, and the first copy matches the card you see on screen. Select New random order to make new arrangements. The order is stored in the link, so you can reproduce it later.
Can I save the template and come back later?
Yes. The template is autosaved in your browser and comes back when you return without a link. To keep a specific version, select Copy link. The address opens this card with the squares filled in.
Can I use pictures or emoji?
You can use emoji. They can be typed or pasted into any square. Pasted text becomes plain text, so formatting is removed. For picture-based games, see the picture bingo page.
Can I shuffle the squares after I’ve typed them?
Yes. Shuffle squares rearranges the current texts, and the free space stays in the centre. If you don’t like the result, select Undo to restore the squares from before the last fill, shuffle or clear.
What happens if my list has more items than squares?
Fill squares places items in order and skips the free space. When it finishes, it reports how many squares were filled and how many items did not fit. Remove the extra items or switch to a larger grid.
Is this bingo card template free to use?
Yes. The tool is free, needs no sign-up, and runs in your web browser. Nothing is uploaded or sent to a server.
Can I make many different cards from these words?
Yes. Select Make many different cards from these words to send your square texts to the bingo card generator. It makes up to 500 cards, each with a different selection of squares. A 5 × 5 card with a free space needs at least 24 words.
