Online Bingo Caller
Press Call next or let it auto-call: big numbers, voice, a lit master board and a winner check for printed cards.
The online bingo caller is a free virtual bingo ball machine that draws numbers from 1 to 75 or 1 to 90, or calls items from your own word list. It runs in your web browser, so there is no sign-up and no download, and your calls are not uploaded anywhere.
You can call the next number with one button, or turn on the auto bingo caller to call every few seconds while you talk to your players. The current call appears in large type, with the five calls before it below. A master board marks every number already called, so you can see the whole game at a glance.
Use it for a home game, a party, a community event or any group that wants bingo calling online without buying equipment.
How to use the online bingo caller
- Choose a game type: Numbers 1–75, Numbers 1–90, or My own words.
- For My own words, type one item per line, or load a preset list: Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Office, Classroom, Countries or the 54 lotería cards. For words written as ‘card | call’, the caller reads the part after the bar.
- For 75-ball, choose whether calls show and are read as a letter and number (‘B 7’) or as a number only (‘7’).
- For 90-ball, tick ‘Use nicknames (UK calls)’ if you want traditional calls such as ‘Legs eleven, 11’.
- Click Call next to draw the next number or item.
- Turn on auto-call and set a gap between 3 and 30 seconds (the default is 8). A countdown shows the time until the next call. Click Pause auto-call to stop it.
- Under ‘Read each call aloud’, choose a voice and a speaking speed from 0.6× to 1.6×.
- Click Undo last call if you make a mistake, or New game to clear the calls. The page asks you to confirm before it clears anything.
You can press Space or Enter to call the next one, as long as you are not typing in a box. Click Full screen to show the caller on a TV or projector. The game is kept in your browser, so reloading the page does not lose the calls.
What is a bingo caller?
A bingo caller is the person or machine that draws numbers at random and announces them so players can mark their cards. The caller also checks a claimed win against the numbers that have been called.
The job depends on two things. The first is a fair draw, so every number has the same chance of coming up. The second is a clear record of what has already been called. Without that record, nobody can prove that a win is genuine.
How to be a bingo caller?
To be a bingo caller, learn the game first, then practise until the numbers come out smoothly. Know the number range you are using, and learn the letters for 75-ball and the common nicknames for 90-ball if your players expect them.
Before the game starts, set out a simple routine: the winning pattern, the pace of the calls, and what you will do when someone shouts bingo. Practise with a full game for a friend or an empty room. Then ask whether everyone could hear and follow each call, and adjust your speed and clarity to suit.
Bingo caller tips
Agree the winning pattern before the first call, and announce it. Players who know what they are aiming for will mark their cards faster and argue less when a win is claimed.
Keep a steady pace. A rhythm that players can follow matters more than speed, and a pause between calls gives people time to mark their cards. Say each number clearly and without rushing, because a misheard number causes more arguments than a slow game does.
When someone shouts bingo, stop calling straight away. Check their card against the master board before you declare a winner, and only then continue.
Can the bingo caller read numbers out loud?
Yes. The calls are read aloud with the speech voices built into your device or browser, so you can pick a voice and set the speed from 0.6× to 1.6×. Slower speeds suit larger groups, where people need more time to find the number on their card.
If your browser cannot speak, the calls still appear on screen, so the game can carry on without sound. Lotería cards are read with a Spanish voice when one is available on your device.
How do I check a winning card?
Type the card code printed by the bingo card generator, such as K7M2QX-12, then choose the winning pattern from the 24 options, such as any line, four corners, X or blackout. The caller shows that card with the called squares marked, and says ‘Winner!’ or ‘Not yet’.
The check only works when the caller uses the same game type, grid and word list as the cards. The generator’s ‘Use with the online caller’ link sets this up for you, so use that link rather than choosing the settings by hand.
Does the caller work for 90-ball bingo?
Yes. Choose Numbers 1–90 as the game type, and the master board shows every number from 1 to 90, with called numbers lit. Each call comes up once until you start a new game.
For traditional UK-style calls, tick ‘Use nicknames (UK calls)’. The caller then reads the nickname with the number, for example ‘Legs eleven, 11’. The 90-ball board has no letter rows, so the letter option does not apply.
Frequently asked questions
Does the bingo caller keep my game if I reload the page?
Yes. The game is kept in your browser, so reloading the page does not lose the calls. Click New game when you want to clear them and start again.
Can I use my own words instead of numbers?
Yes. Choose My own words and type one item per line, or load a preset list. To show one thing on screen but read another, write it as ‘card | call’, and the caller reads the part after the bar.
Can I show the bingo caller on a TV or projector?
Yes. Click Full screen to show the caller on a TV or projector, so everyone in the room can see the current call and the board.
What do 75-ball calls look like?
For Numbers 1–75, you can show and read each call as a letter and number, such as ‘B 7’, or as a number only, such as ‘7’. The master board has one row for each letter B, I, N, G and O.
How do I fix a mistaken call?
Click Undo last call to take back the most recent call. Each number or item comes up only once, so undoing a call also lets it come up again later in the game.
How do I start a new game?
Click New game. The page asks you to confirm, and then it clears all the calls so you can begin again.
Can the caller call numbers without me clicking?
Yes. Turn on auto-call and choose a gap between 3 and 30 seconds, with 8 seconds as the default. A countdown shows the time until the next call, and Pause auto-call stops it at any point.
